Kansas Outlaws Practice Of Evolution

Damnation, it is getting cold. I woke up to 18 degrees F outside this morning. And it still hasn't snowed. How disappointing.

We had a pep rally today at school. What a waste of an hour. I could have been learning. Instead, I have to sit there watch stuff that I could care less about. Basketball, football, rap, WHO GIVES A S***?! Not me. I'll have to skip it next time.

Tons of people have been coming over to play my Wii. Who knew it could be so popular? I haven't played as much Zelda as I want to, I'm still pretty early in the game. Hopefully I'll get some play time in tonight. I gotta get me a microphone too. Gemini from ACFriends wants me to be on the podcast soon.

Stupid physics test...

In Front Of a Live Studio Audience

Woo Thanksgiving weekend. No school, good food, and tons of time to play the Wii. I've have been playing tons of Zelda, and pretty much no Red Steel. My mom, who works with mentally/physically disabled people, had Cindy, one of her clients, come over. Cindy is wheelchair bound, so she couldn't get around our house much. But I brought up the Wii, and pretty soon everyone was playing Wii Sports. Cindy was really enjoying it. So I believe that Nintendo really can attract these non-gamers.

My dad and I went to go see the new James Bond movie - Casino Royale. It was OK, but it didn't seem like a James Bond movie to me. The new guy just isn't smooth enough. But the opening chase scene kicked ass.

My mom is out there this morning on Black Friday on the hunt for some good deals. Too early for me. I should get started on some of my homework too. Or I'll just go play some more Zelda. I think I'll play the Zelda...

I Should Go Back To Bed

I spent 14 hours in line at a Walmart with Cameron waiting for the Wii. I honestly didn't expect to wait that long. I thought that I would get there at like 7 pm and still be close to the front of the line. Good thing that I called in the morning. The person I talked to over the phone said that they already had about 10 people in line. So I quickly gathered my DS and got my dad to drive me there. I also called Cameron and told him to come down too. It was about 10 am.

I get there (at least they didn't make us wait outside) and right by the electronics isle is the line. There was only like 7 people there, so I was feeling pretty good. I grabbed a folding chair from the furniture department and settled myself for a long night. Cameron arrived soon after that. The line started to slowly grow. We tried to get some better chairs, but it turns out that the employees don't like it when you use stuff that you didn't pay for.

Got my dad to bring me down some Burger King around lunchtime. I also bought myself some Bottle Caps for a buck. So I was on a bit of a sugar high (my hand was shaking). I just pulled out my DS and even played some Mario Kart with the 15 other people there with DS's. Thank god for Suduko on Brain Age, that made the time go by a little faster. It was still really boring. Every now and then I got up and played the Guitar Hero II demo, or tried out the PS3 demo (it sucked).

People we knew came by sometimes. Some lady from Cameron's church came by, Cory even dropped by, and my dad came around a couple of times. I had given him my money because I was not about to stay in a Walmart for 14 hours with $400 on me. My mom even bought me and Cameron a bearclaw from Panera's. They wrote down our names so that they knew who was in line. When the 20th person came, they had to send the rest home. Finally, 10 pm came, and they handed out the tickets. I was number 7. Not bad, considering they only had 20 Wii's (they only had 8 PS3's).

At least now I didn't have to wait in line. But I had nothing else to do, so I sat back down to waste the time away. However, tons of people who didn't have tickets started to line up behind us. A bunch of people did that. We had to tell them to go home because unless they had a ticket, they weren't getting anything. A few decided to hang around though.

Finally, 12am came. They handed out the controllers and games first before the time came. Then they started to sell the Wii's. Everything went smoothly and I soon had my Wii. My dad escorted me to the car so that we could go get my games from EBGames. There were a few shady peoples hanging around, but I didn't get robbed or anything. I quickly ran into EBGames and got my controllers/games. It was really quiet there.

We drove home and straight away I had to test this thing out. Of course, my dad watched (he seemed really interested in it). We quickly had it up and running. Soon my dad and I were playing Wii Sports. He finally decided to go to bed, so I had a quick 30 minute session of Red Steel. The controls are kinda hard, but you get used to them quickly. Then I went to bed.

In the morning I played some more, and of course I have been playing a lot today. My brother really enjoys Wii Sports. And I will probably play even more. Good thing I have Thanksgiving week off, so I have even more time to play it. This is probably my longest post ever. I could do my spanish homework. Or I could go play Zelda. Tough choices...

Kicking Ass, Taking Names

Wow, 50 posts. Kinda a milestone for this blog. Here's to 50, 100, 1000 more!

Anyways, just a couple of days until the Wii launches. These days have been going by soooo slowly. Saturday night just can't come fast enough. I'll just have to be patient I guess. But who can be patient with the most awesomest thing in the world about to come out. C'mon. C'marn!

I finally got the ACFriends site up and running. The new layout is up and everything. So far I have gotten some pretty good comments about it. People seem to like it. I'm still adding pages and content, but it's coming along nicely.

I've got an AP Physics test tomorrow. Anyone want to help me with gravitation and oscillations? I thought not...

You May Have Your Pick at My Wenches

Since I had no school for the last couple of days, I went out and rented Bully for PS2. I'm past halfway through the game so far. It's a pretty kickass game. The thing I like most is their attention to detail. You can do pretty much anything in that game. So go out and play it. You won't be disappointed.

I promised Gemini that I would start on that ACFriends layout, and I actually did. I haven't scripted it yet, but at least the images are done. I gave it a cool urban-style look. I think it looks pretty good.

My dad wants me to go help him do an oil change on the car. Only 7 days until the Wii launches. This will be the slowest week ever.

That Cake You Made Really Sucked, But I Ate It

I had a test in my pre calculus/trig class. It was about graphing cosines and tangents and whatnot. Needless to say, I didn't really know how to do any of it. I had my notes open and my book with me (my teacher never notices) but that didn't help. I got most of it done, but I have never had such a strong will to stop time...

At the bowling alley today, I finally won a few games. I even got a turkey. Well, technically I didn't because one of them was a spare, but the computer got messed up and read it as a strike. Anyways, Cameron had to knock down two pins, but he was messing around, so he rolled it between his legs while backwards. And he actually hit them. I thought that was pretty funny until this happened:

Cameron got a strike, but forgot about it and accidently bowled during one of my frames. So it was only fair that I got to bowl one of his frame, right? So I rolled it right in the gutter, of course. But he thought he would be smart and roll a ball down right after me. That ball got stuck, so the guy had to come down to fix it. He also rolled it down the gutter, so that Cameron got 0 points for that frame. He was way in the lead, but then it was my turn and I ended up winning. It was freaking hilarious. It may sound complicated, but it was funny. You had to have been there.

Man Throws Rock, Hilarity Ensues

Well, what can I say... Only a couple of days until the Wii comes out. I'm planning to camp out at a local EBGames on that night to see if I can get one. If not, I'll just walk across the street to Walmart and pick one up there. Mr. Cameron and Mr. Cory will be joining me on my quest. Hopefully it won't be too cold that night.

I've finally started working on that crazy ACFriends layout, but next week I have a couple of days off, so I'll probably get it done. It's looking pretty good so far. I have this dark grey/green theme going.

I have a big physics test on Monday, so I should probably study. Or I'll just go out and rent Bully...
