Tell Me

So it's been a while since I've updated. I'm a busy person, what can I say. OK, maybe I'm not so busy. I think that this is my 99th post on this blog, so maybe I'll do something fantastic and special for the 100th post. Maybe an entire site overhaul.... not. That'll happen eventually though, I hope. I'll probably just make another lame banner and call it at that.

I offered Blake a review on The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters because I was lucky enough to go see it. So he said, "go ahead", so I quickly typed it up and just last night he posted it. Here's the link - my movie review. Hopefully he was impressed by it enough to let me contribute more to the site. That would be awesome.

Hey, my birthday's coming up. That's right, I'm turning the big one-seven. Woohoo. Not doing anything special, but I'll probably "celebrate" it by going to the Bomb the Music Industry! concert in Lincoln. A bit of a drive, but it's worth it. I'll be getting a new black 8 gig iPod Nano for my birthday (I was considering a Zune, especially when woot.com was selling it for $130, but it was sold out). I'll finally have a decent mp3 player that can have Tetris on it. Of course I'll be going out to pick up the new Zelda for DS on that day too. Should be a fun week.

So That's What Happened

So there's been a lot of news this week. The biggest was probably the news about the new iPods. I'm usually not too interested in Apple products, but I really need an mp3 player, so for my birthday I'm going to try get one of the new Nano's. The better battery life, new size, and video capabilities are looking somewhat attractive to me, so I'll probably get one of those. Also, the Chaser's War on Everything started the rest of their season yesterday (I'm downloading the new episode as I type this). However, probably the most disappointing news is that Nintendo's saying that they have canceled Metroid Dread. I was really looking forward to that game; I like the 2D Metroids better than the 3D ones.

So my magical new graphing calculator was not working too well on my computer, so I contacted their tech support to ask how to fix it. One week later, and they have shipped me a brand new one at no cost to me. I'm pretty happy with that customer service, you don't usually get decent service these days. Hopefully I can get Tetris working on this one...

So school still sucks. My chemistry teacher is my least favorite, but my World History teacher is pretty awesome. And the engineering guy is really wierd. Don't worry, Project LPJ is still underway, but it'll take a while to get done. Can't wait until October 8th, that's when Whit gets to drive me to Lincoln to see Bomb the Music Industry! Yeah, that's right, I'm going to their concert. And it will be awesome. Yeah.

(I just realized that the last paragraph is kinda lame and badly written. Sorry.)

Now Announcing...

Yes, I am embarking on a new project. The name? Project LPJ. It's so important that it even gets its own banner. Allow me to explain this amazing project. You see, I have this teacher at my school. And she makes a lot of poop jokes. So what I want to do is count how many times she makes a poop joke during each class and try to get an average. I'm not going to count every class, just once a week. I will tally each one, and at the end, I will share my results with the public in the form of a graph.

Now, an important step is to define the following question: What is a poop joke? I'm going to classify any word or sound that has any reference to do with poop as a poop joke. I'm not going to be too picky, so I expect a bit of a marginal error. Another important part is to make sure that my subject does not find out about the project, because I believe that informing her might change the outcome. So don't tell her. This experiment must be done in the utmost secrecy. But this experiment will let me gain insight to the human mind. An educational embarkment, if you will. Allow me to share my first results with you - in a time span of 90 minutes, my teacher made a total of 19 poop jokes. An impressive number. I'll hopefully be continuing my project and sharing my results as time goes on.

In other news, school is boring. Too much homework. I'm stuck on Advance Wars, but probably not for long. I've been playing a bunch of Super Metroid. I inhaled a lot of soldering fumes in my digital electronics class today, so I have a headache, so I'm going to stop typing. kthxbi.
