I Think I Have One Of Those

Black Friday is always fun. And by fun, I mean hella cold. I woke up at around 5 because my mom wanted to get a tv from Target. I didn't want anything, I just like to be there: the adrenaline and the fun of hunting down what you want is always great. We got in line at the Target, but of course people tried to gaterush the doors right when they let us in, so I had to fight my way to the front. But we got the tv and we were checked out and out the door in 10 minutes. New record!

Then we went down to Best Buy to try get a Garmin Nuvi 660. We knew that we were an hour and a half late (Best Buy opened at 5am) and that they were probably sold out, but we wanted to try get one anyway. So we got there and needless to say it was hella busy. There was even a news reporter there with his fancy camera. We managed to find a guy who found us a GPS, so we paid and went on our merry way. Next was Burger King and Shopko and we were home 2 hours and $650 later.

So at least I got a 5 day weekend. I managed to watch the new Futurama movie, beat the new Sam and Max, and rent Zack and Wiki, which I'm still playing through and it's pretty good so far. I don't want the break to be over, because that means I get to go back to school and stupid chemistry. But Christmas is right around the corner now, right?

Won't Ask You Again

So I went down to Kansas City. Not the cool one in Missouri that has the theme park. I went to the one in Kansas. Which I suppose makes more sense, but that doesn't make it any less boring. Take Iowa and divide it by one Nebraska and that approximately how boring Kansas is. Either way, it was an uneventful weekend, even though I had most of Thursday and Friday off. It was cold down there too, but then again it's cold up here as well so I can't complain too much.

I've been trying to get back into a few games recently. I'm playing a bunch of Advance Wars, but I cannot beat this damn level. I've been stuck on it for weeks and I don't think I'll ever beat it. I heard that soon Microsoft will allow downloading old Xbox games on the 360. It just seems to keep getting better and better, so once I get the cash I will definately be buying one. Probably the black one. That means I'll have to get a job, but I picked up a HyVee application and will hand that in soon seeing as EB Games won't call me back...

Now I've been listening to a lot of music lately. First, I've been listening to Hello Rockview by Less Than Jake. It's weird, because I'm not a huge fan of them, but that album is amazing. It's one of my favorite albums of all time; I like every single song on it, and that's very rare for me. Also, I've listened to most of their other albums and they suck... a lot (except for Pezcore, which is decent). How can a band make an album so kickass while the rest of their stuff sucks so bad? Also, I've been listening to the new Streetlight Manifesto album. At first I didn't like that band that much, but after listening the their new album, I've warmed up to them. It's not bad at all.

I'm too lazy to get into Photoshop and make some witty picture, so I'll just leave you with a video of Whit playing Donkey Konga. It's worth noting that this is the first time the bongos have been plugged into any console for over a year or so. Not a game I'd recommend.

For Everyone

Halloween came and went. It's easily one of my favorite holidays, along with Christmas (free stuff) and National Talk Like a Pirate Day. Had Whit, Cameron and Fredrickson over so that we could collect candy and whatnot. All in all, a good time was had by all. I even got a sign that someone put outside their door that said "one piece only" next to an empty bucket of candy. Next year I may be too old for this stuff and people will look at me funny, so I enjoyed it while it lasted.

Anyways, so today I open up my mailbox and surprise, Nintendo sent me my Wiimote jackets. Sony also sent me God of War for PSP, along with some stupid-cellphone-charm thing. Which is too bad because I don't have a PSP anymore (good riddance), so maybe someone will take it off my hands. Back to the Nintendo thing, I haven't had much of a chance to test the jackets out, but they feel alright while holding them. I've never felt the need for a jacket for the Wiimote, but free stuff is free stuff, right?

So I was at my brother's parent teacher conferences. Since I used to go to his school, I met a lot of my old teachers. Most notably, I saw Ms. Navarro, the Spanish teacher from Spain who was awesome, so it was cool seeing her again. Got her email, so better stay in touch. But there are some teachers I would rather forget...

School's been crazy, can't tell you how busy this year has been. A lot of homework, hard classes, school used to be easy. But those were simpler times, now I have to deal with actually doing work and crazy-ass chemistry teachers.
