Ho Ho Ho

So Christmas has come and gone. Sucks to think that it'll be another 364 days until the next one. I really like this season, and I really like getting stuff. I got Guitar Hero III (which I've been playing for hours on end), and Operation Ivy shirt, and an iPod car charger (which I don't really need because the new Nano's battery life is amazing, but good for car trips). My brother got this big ass gun but we both suck at shooting it. A good Christmas all in all I suppose.

But now that it's all over, I have one and a half weeks to either a) play Guitar Hero b) play Zelda Phantom Hourglass or c) do homework. I suppose c) would be the best one to do and I'll probably regret not doing it at the end of the week. A bunch of essays to write, and a whole book to read... Stupid teachers...

So I'll be busy these next couple of days. Can't wait for the end of the semester too, then no more AP Chemistry. The best Christmas present I can give myself is to never walk into that classroom ever again.

Everybody Wants to Be Naked and Famous

Only 1 and a half days until Christmas, or as I've been calling it, Guitar Hero day. This week has been going by so slowly, but it's almost done and it'll be worth it in the end. The thing that sucks is that once Christmas is over, there's nothing to look forward to besides the end of the semester and weeks of Guitar Hero. All the cool holidays go by so fast...

Since I have two weeks of no-school, you would think that I would get to kick back and relax, right? Well, no. My teachers held a meeting with each other and decided to screw Chris over and give him tons of homework over the holidays. So maybe that didn't really happen, but it seems that way.

No good concerts to look forward to, having to take the ACT and SAT within the next two months, lots of work to do... I wonder what's keeping me holding on these days. Ok, so that sounded a bit emo, but I'm not gonna go cut myself or something. I'm just going to kickback, play some Guitar Hero and wait for better days to come.

It So Damn Close...

That's right. Only a week left until the big day. The fantastic day when I, among many others, get tons of free stuff. What's not to love? Christmas is one of the best holidays ever. This year I'm hoping to cash in on Guitar Hero III for my Wii and an Operation Ivy shirt. This will be the longest week ever...

So I managed to finally drop AP Chemistry. It just wasn't working out for me, so normal honors chemistry should be a lot better. At least now I only have to see that teacher only two or three times a week and a lot less work. Plus I get a study hall, so this next semester will be a lot more stress free. I could use some relief time, my junior year of high school has sucked thus far.

On the plus side, I have enough cash to get Smash Bros. Brawl (if it ever comes out). I'll have to get it on Amazon.com, but that means I won't have to wait in line somewhere or struggle trying to get it. Can't wait for that game, it's going to be so awesome. I'm about halfway on Zelda Phantom Hourglass. It's still pretty good, I'm liking it so far. Linebeck's a pretty funny new character, and the storyline is coming together nicely. But once again, I have to complain about how damn easy it is. No struggling at all, which is nice but bad at the same time. Know what I mean?

Hopefully this week goes by nice and quick. The sooner I have that plastic guitar in my hands, rocking out to "Lay Down" by Priestess, the better.

Subliminal, Perhaps?

Today was both an amazingly awesome day, and a horrible day. Starting with the bad stuff, I didn't do so hot on my calculus test and my progress report wasn't looking good either. But on the other hand, I'm understanding chemistry a lot more, Blake did something completely awesome, and I got to watch a preppy chick slip and fall in a pile of chunky green vomit. The last two thing totally made my week.

So I beat Zack and Wiki a while back. It was alright, but I didn't think it was overly fantastic. I think the guys as IGN might have over-hyped it. I found it to be a bit overrated, but make no mistake, it's a fun game. Not once do you find yourself repeating something; every level, while staying to a similar theme, has you doing something completely different. Did I mention it was really short too? Like I-beat-it-in-10-hours short.

On that note, I also finally picked up Zelda Phantom Hourglass. I did the Nintendo survey for the free stylus deal, and they said it would take 4-6 weeks to get it. I got it 5 days later, so that was freaking sweet. As far as the game, I've been really impressed. The controls are very polished and natural. But it's been way too easy, but I'm only at the Wind temple, so maybe it gets harder later on. Also, I'm not digging the music as much as Windwaker. And that game had an awesome soundtrack (my favorite, by the way). Hopefully I'll get some more play time on that.

Also, went for a job interview on Monday. Things went well, and they said that they would call by the end of the week if I get hired. I could totally use the cash.
