Winner... Almost

Ok, so we got second place. That's not bad, considering we get $250 each. We wanted first place and then we would have gotten $500 each plus a trip to Disney. But this isn't bad either. At least I finally have some cash. I'm gonna keep $50 of it for the R4 card, and the rest is going to the bank. Not bad for 3 hours work.

Today could be the day that I get tons of money. You see, today I will be participating in the African American History Challenge. This is my 3rd year doing it, and I think this will be the year that we win. Justin and I have gotten second place a couple of times in the past, but this year, we're going for first. The best thing is that first place winners get $600 each, plus a trip to Disney. You still get cash up until 3rd place. And the even better part is this: there are only 4 teams in it this year. So chances of me walking out of there with some cash in my hands is 75%. Those are some odds that I like.

So last Monday, when we had no school, Cameron, Whit and I went down to Papio Bowl to see Westbound Train. Haven't been to a ska show for a while, so this was a great show. Skanked the night away. Lots of funny stuff happened, but I've got some footage from the show (stolen from a Beat Union video) and I'm planning on making a video about that. So when I get some free time, expect to see that released.

I'm really getting pumped to get an R4 card for my DS. I've already got a 1gb microSD card which I got for free from a friend, so that's at least $20 I get to save. All I need is 40 dollahs and I'm ready to go. It's going to be so awesome having that... Anyways, Justin will be coming over soon to "study/play Guitar Hero", so I'd better finish this and some other things before he comes.

What Are They Really Saying

Ok, yeah, it's been a while. A looooooong while. But now here's something for your eyes to read.

Let's start with an update on my PS2. I got it back a long time ago, and it works perfectly now. I played GTA Vice City for pretty much the entire weekend, it's pretty awesome if you like awesome games I guess. It's been a while since I last played, I've been quite busy. I've got a 4 day weekend coming up soon, so that should mean plenty o' GTA time.

What else has happened...? Let's see, I took the ACT and it was long and boring. I thought the SAT was easier, but I still think I did good on this one. School's a lot easier, so my grades are good and I really don't have to get stressed out about that anymore. I get a lot of college mail now, and it's kind of annoying, but I have an idea, something to do with all these letters. I finished reading Golden Compass; it was pretty good and I've started on the 2nd book in that series (but I'm doing it as an audiobook because I've never listened to a whole book as an audiobook).

Smash Bros. is coming up pretty soon, and it's a good thing that I have already paid for it on because I'm super poor right now. I have two $1 bills in my wallet right now, so that's pretty much my standing right now. Can't buy any of the stuff I want, so I'll just have to wait. I'm entering a bunch of competitions, like a bridge building one and an African American one, so if I do good there, I should get some cash coming in soon. First purchases on my list when I get some cash? Bully for Wii and an R4 card for my DS.

I've begun my overhaul of my Myspace, but it's not up right now. I'm about 20% with it right now, and I'm pretty pleased with how it's turning out. But I have a long way to go still. It's going to be sweet once it's done.
